About Us
Achilles South Florida chapter was founded two years ago by Lance Benson, a commercial real estate broker in Miami. Lance, 33, was born with no legs, yet he competes by sitting atop a skateboard, using his hands to propel himself forward. He zipped through the 2005 ING New York City Marathon in just 3 hours and 37 minutes and competed in the 2006 ING Miami Marathon.
Achilles South Florida includes athletes with disabilities from Palm Beach to Miami, along with Achilles Miami Project and Achilles Colusana.
What We Do
Weekly Workouts
WHEN: Saturday mornings at 10 AM Rain, ("hurricane!") or shine!
